Aachen, Germany is the home of Charlemagne's Palace, from whence he ruled for many years centuries ago. One of the pinnacles of that palace are the 1200 year old doors that still hang in there original place, weighing nearly four tons. These inspired me to shoot some of the many beautiful doors in the historic city during a short visit in 2009.
